Function Description
The setting of Shopify inventory location is designed to ensure that OneWarehouse can accurately synchronize product inventory to the designated inventory location of your Shopify store. By linking your Shopify inventory locations in OneWarehouse, you can connect your store across multiple physical locations (such as retail stores, warehouses, etc.) for more efficient inventory allocation and order fulfillment.
For detailed instructions on Shopify inventory locations, please refer to the official Shopify documentation .
Precautions
- Not setting a Shopify inventory location will not affect the normal shipment of OneWarehouse, but it will affect the shipment deduction of inventory in the Shopify store.
- A store can only be bound to one location, but the bound location can be switched at any time. The switch only affects inventory synchronization.
- If the location has been set, switching to "Don't set up yet" will be regarded as canceling the setting of the inventory location.
- Before setting the inventory location, please consult the official Shopify documentation for setting the inventory location for detailed instructions.
Steps
1. View current inventory locations
- By default, the display is empty and prompts "Not set yet." Stores that have not set an inventory address will not be able to use the shopify inventory synchronization function.
- If a location has been set, the location name and related information such as address, city, province, country/region code, and postal code will be displayed.
2. Change location
- Click the "..."-"Set Inventory Address" button, the "Set Inventory Address" pop-up window will open, and you can set and change the address on this page.
- Click the "Change" button and a list of locations maintained in the shopify store will be displayed. Please select the correct address and save it.
-
Place list operations
- Supports fuzzy search and implements a search box on the front end.
- When the number of locations does not exceed 10, the search box will not be displayed.
- The list of places is sorted by creation time, with those created first.
3. Forced deduction of inventory
- If the user does not set a location, the "Forced Deduction of Set Address Inventory" checkbox is grayed out, and the forced deduction of shopify inventory will not be triggered at this time.
- If checked, the system will deduct inventory at the set inventory location after the shipment is successfully shipped and the Shopify fulfillment order information is written back.
- If the modification fails, the system will prompt in the message center.
