Additional features - Local time zone

Function Description

This function is a time zone setting tool under the "Additional Functions" module of the system. Merchants can choose the corresponding time zone according to their own business needs, and the selected time zone will become the system's main time zone.

Once set up, the system will automatically convert almost all times to the time zone you set, and the search function will also match the time results according to the time zone you set, eliminating the need for manual time zone conversion. This adapts to the needs of business time management and reduces the manual cost of time verification.

System default time zone rules:

1. Prioritize matching the system IP address and corresponding time zone during registration.

2. If no matching IP address or time zone is found, the corresponding time zone will be matched based on the address selected during registration.

3. No matching results were found for any of the above. The default time zone is East 8 (GMT+8 - Asia/Shanghai).

Precautions

• This feature takes effect immediately upon setup, and the display of times that meet the rules within the system will be updated synchronously.
• The time in the following special scenarios will not change based on the time zone you set for your business location. The specific rules are as follows:

1. Inventory Expiration Date: The expiration date is fixed at the warehouse's local time and will not change based on your set time zone.

2. System Tasks: System tasks (including automatic tasks, message notifications, etc.) will be executed using GMT+8 time zone and cannot be modified at this time.

3. Sales Platform Time Rules: The system will automatically recognize the sales platform's time rules. If the platform has a set time zone, it will be processed according to the platform's time zone; otherwise, it will be processed uniformly according to GMT+8.

4. Data Reports: All report data is currently compiled according to GMT+8 time zone.

Operating steps

• Step 1: Go to the "Additional Features" page

Click on [Settings] >> [Additional Features] in the left-hand menu to enter the "Additional Features" page.

• Step 2: Set the time zone for the business location

On the "Additional Functions" page, find the "Time Zone of Business Location" module, click the drop-down menu, select the time zone corresponding to your business location, and the system will take effect immediately after selection.
