Feature Description:
The order splitting feature in OneWarehouse is designed to handle complex business scenarios such as partial product shortages, logistics restrictions, or stock distributed across different warehouses. By splitting a single order into multiple orders for settlement and shipment, it helps you complete order processing more flexibly and efficiently.
Important Notes
-
Order Numbering Rules: Sub-orders generated after splitting will have a suffix "-N" added to the original order number.
Example: If the original order number is
001, the first sub-order after splitting will be001-1. If further sub-orders are created, they will be numbered001-2, and so on. Platform Synchronization Limitations (Important): If the order originates from an external marketplace platform, the information of the sub-orders after splitting (such as order details, tracking numbers, logistics status, etc.) will not be sent back to the marketplace. It is recommended that you communicate with customers in advance that the order has been split for shipment and manually provide the corresponding sub-order numbers and shipment tracking numbers.
-
Order Splitting Cancellation Restrictions:
You can restore the order to its pre-split state by selecting any one of the original or sub-orders after splitting (the system will delete all sub-orders and restore the original order).
Prerequisite: Cancellation of order splitting can only be successful when the original order and all sub-orders are in the "Pending" status.

【Order Splitting Intelligent Alerts】Setup Guide
This feature identifies order scenarios requiring splitting in advance (such as products with different temperature requirements, products with or without batteries, products distributed across multiple warehouses, etc.) and provides warning alerts to prompt users to manually split orders, improving order processing efficiency and accuracy.
Setup Steps:
Go to "Settings" > "Order Splitting Settings", turn on the splitting alert switch, and select the business scenarios for which you want to receive alerts:
Option Descriptions:
- "Order contains products with different temperature requirements": When an order includes products stored under different conditions, a splitting alert will be issued.
- "Order contains both battery-powered and non-battery-powered products": When an order contains both lithium battery and non-lithium battery products, a splitting alert will be issued.
- "Order contains products requiring single-item shipment": If products are set to "single-item shipment" and conditions are exceeded, the system will remind you to split the order.
- "Using multiple warehouses can effectively fulfill the order": When products in an order are located in multiple warehouses, a splitting alert will be issued. This alert is visible to users who use multiple warehouses.
- Effect: Orders in "Pending" status that meet the selected conditions will display the "Pending Reason" in the order list as "Pending Splitting", prompting you to manually split the order.
【Splitting Out Out-of-Stock Products】Step-by-Step Instructions
If you want to split out out-of-stock products with one click, you must complete the following steps in order; otherwise, the feature will not work.
Step 1: Complete Pre-Settings(Failure to follow this setting will cause the feature to be ineffective)
- Go to "Settings" > "Shipping Settings" > "Execution Shipping Type" > "Out-of-Stock Pre-Allocation Rules", and check "Out-of-stock products do not affect inventory pre-allocation for in-stock products in the order".
Step 2: Pre-Allocate Inventory for In-Stock Products
In the order list, click "Execute Shipment" once on the target order. This action pre-allocates inventory for in-stock products so the system can accurately identify out-of-stock products in the order.
Step 3: One-Click Split Out Out-of-Stock Products
Click "Split Order" for the order, then click "Split Out Out-of-Stock Products". After the system prompts "One-click split out of out-of-stock products successful," you can return to the order management page to view the split original and sub-orders.
