Function Description:
In order to ensure the operational integrity of the system, used product information (including products with inventory and warehousing records) will not be deleted. But at the same time, in order to effectively deal with removed or abandoned products, we have introduced the "deactivation" function to achieve the following goals:
- Avoid information interference and misoperation: Deactivated products will no longer be displayed on the product selection page of the order, thereby avoiding information confusion and misoperation.
- Prevent interference with normal operations: Even if product information cannot be deleted, the "deactivated" status ensures that removed or abandoned products will not affect normal operations. This helps keep the system clean and functioning efficiently.
Precautions
-
Products in inventory (including inventory in transit) cannot be deactivated : In order to prevent problems such as inventory management after deactivation, products in inventory (including inventory in transit) cannot be deactivated.
-
Deactivated products lose validity: Once a product is deactivated, it will lose validity for business operations, including but not limited to being unable to be used for orders and other related business operations.
-
Activating a product: If a deactivated product needs to be reactivated, corresponding operations must be performed to make it valid again and participate in the business process.
Disabled steps
Step1:
Enter "Product Management" and search for the products that need to be invalidated. Check the products and select "Batch Disabled" to "invalidate" multiple products, or "Disabled" a single product in the "Operation" column.
Step2:
Clicking the "Batch Deactivation" or "Deactivation" button will pop up a pop-up window, click "Confirm" or "Cancel"
Deactivation failed: When the product is in stock and in transit, it cannot be deactivated.
Deactivation successful: If deactivation is successful, a corresponding reminder will be issued and the column will disappear from the "Activating" field and enter the "Deactivating" field.
Enable steps
