Function Overview
If you encounter an information error when creating a product profile, and the product has not yet generated any business data, you can permanently remove it from the system using the delete function to maintain the cleanliness and accuracy of the product profile. This tutorial mainly explains the deletion operation for "General Products (Single Items)" .
Removal Restrictions and Precautions (Must Read Before Operation)
Before deleting the item, please ensure that it meets the following conditions to avoid operation failure:
⛔️ Strict restrictions on "Inbound Orders" (most common reason for failure)
Records cannot be deleted : the system judges whether an inbound order (ASN) has been created, rather than the current inventory quantity.
Even if the inventory is 0, it is not allowed : Please note that even if the current inventory of the product is zero, as long as it has ever had any inbound orders created in the past, the system will not allow it to be deleted in order to ensure the integrity of the accounting history .
Including voided documents : Even if the receiving document is later "voided" or is in the "pending receiving" stage , the system still considers the product to have a business record and cannot delete it .
⚠️ Impact on "Bundled Products"
Automatic unbinding : If the item you delete is part of a bundle, the system will automatically unbind and remove it from the bundle at the same time . Please ensure this will not affect your sales strategy.
💡 Reusing deleted SKUs
Can be recreated : Once an item is successfully deleted, the SKU number is released. You can then create a new item using the same SKU number.
Operating steps
Step 1: Access the management page
Go to the 【Products】 > 【Product Management】 page.
Use the search bar to find the product you want to delete.
Click the "Delete" button in the product's operation field .
Step 2: Confirm the result
The system will provide two different responses based on the status of the product:
✅ Scenario A: Meets the deletion criteria
If no inbound order has been created for this product (including any voided ones), the system will display a confirmation window:
"Confirm the deletion of this item? Once confirmed, the item will be irreversible and will be unbound from the bundled items."
- After clicking "OK" , the system will display "Product successfully deleted", and the file will be permanently removed.
❌ Scenario B: Does not meet the deletion criteria
If the product has ever had an inbound order (regardless of whether the current inventory is 0 or the order has been cancelled), the system will block it and display a message:
"This item is ready for warehousing and cannot be deleted."
Solution : This type of product cannot be completely removed from the system. If you no longer sell this product, it is recommended that you change its status to "disabled" to avoid accidental use.
